Magnolias of China by LIU Yu-Hu - SOLD OUT
The book is published bilingually in Chinese and English. Its main contents include; 1)The book includes 170 species, 1 hybrid, 1 subspecies and 6 varieties belonging to 11 genera. Among them, 46 species and 1 variety which were added ined. Behind their latin names are embodied for the first time. Botanical name and Chinese name are both given to each species, along with brief description of morphological characters, florescence and fructescence, habitat, geographic distribution, conservation status and usage in landscape-gardening; 2)The book is fully illustrated with 93 color drawings, 44 black and white sketches and 552 color photographs. Most of the species are shown with pictures of flowers, fruits and whole plants; 3)At the end of the book, there are appendices of the cultivation and propagation techniques of magnolias, the taxonomic systems of Magnoliaceae by Liu Yu-Hu, and the index of Chinese names (including alternative names).
