Chollipo Arboretum is delighted to host the Magnolia Society International Annual Meeting in 2020. The main theme of the MSI 2020 Meeting is “Magnolia, Beyond the Arboretum”.

Along with Botanic Gardens Conservation International’s (BGCI’s) Global Conservation Consortium for Magnolia, the MSI 2020 meeting will provide various programs to see magnificent collections of magnolias at Chollipo Arboretum, magnolias in their native habitats and the diverse natural environment of the Republic of Korea. In addition you will experience the assets of Korean culture, tradition and history, including the Korean Traditional Garden.

We look forward to sharing an understanding of the value and the beauty of magnolias to the public through MSI members’ knowledge on magnolias during the conference. We also eagerly anticipate that this meeting will draw more attention to magnolias and affection for them over generations and countries and will aid in magnolias being conserved in the wild habitats.
